Meet Dan
For over 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people move toward more meaningful and connected lives. I specialize in working with couples and families in all forms as they navigate life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, anxiety, and trauma. Whether it’s the relationship with a partner, a family member, or oneself, I believe therapy offers a unique space to explore and re-author the stories that shape who we are.
As the Director of Alliant International University’s Couple and Family Clinic in Los Alamitos, I also support a team of therapists-in-training through clinical supervision and mentorship. My own work is grounded in narrative therapy, a collaborative and respectful approach that centers your lived experience and helps open new paths forward.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll often find me in the garden, paddleboarding, mountain biking, woodworking, or seeking out new adventures. I’m energized by the outdoors, hands-on projects, and meaningful conversations—the same things that make this work so deeply rewarding.

Meet Lauren
Lauren Taylor earned her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences from Cal State San Marcos and went on to complete her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. She has experience working with a wide range of populations, including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, infidelity, parenting challenges, adolescence, and more.
As a narrative therapist, Lauren believes in the power of story—how we make meaning of our lives and how we can gently re-author the narratives we carry to better align with who we truly are. She also integrates somatic techniques in her work, honoring the mind-body connection as a way to help clients ground themselves in their bodies, the earth, and their present reality.
Lauren is especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, children, teens, and those impacted by trauma. Her approach is rooted in warmth, compassion, and non-judgment, offering a space where clients can feel safe, seen, and empowered to grow.
“Dan Nyirady is a wonderfully warm, skilled, and thoughtful therapist. He is very authentic and caring, as well as very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dan, and would feel confident that you will get care, insight, and support.”
