In our practice, each therapist has their own specialties and style. Our team members have a large range: from specializing in late-life divorce, to LGBTQIA+ support, to children and play therapy. Our associates were trained in COAMFTE-accredited programs — the nationally recognized standard for graduate-level marriage and family therapy education, held by only a handful of institutions in California. What that means in practice is a particular way of thinking: rather than treating symptoms in isolation, our therapists are trained to see the full picture — how relationships, family dynamics, and life context shape the challenges clients bring to therapy. It's an approach that takes people seriously as whole persons embedded in real relationships. Every associate at Ripple Effects works under the direct clinical supervision of Dan Nyirady, PhD, LMFT, who brings 25 years of clinical practice, training, and mentorship to that role.
