What to Expect From Me

Portrait of a smiling man with long dreadlocks, beard, and earrings, wearing a black sweater and gray zip-up jacket, outdoors with green trees and blurred background.

I know therapy can be a hard thing to commit to. Life puts a lot of pressure on us to have it all together — and when things get hard, asking for help can feel like the last option instead of the first. But that's exactly where I want to meet you.

I have a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and am completing my doctorate in MFT at Alliant International University, where I've finished all coursework and am actively working with clients at the university's Couple and Family Clinic. My background includes community mental health, substance use treatment, and working with kids, teens, couples, and families — a range of experiences that keeps me flexible and real with the people I work with.

I work with individuals and families dealing with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, addiction, life transitions, stress, and men's issues. My approach is relational and grounded — I'm not here to hand you a formula. I'm here to listen, to be honest with you, and to walk alongside you through whatever you're carrying. As a Black Caribbean man, I'm especially committed to making space for BIPOC clients where their full identity and experience are understood and respected.

I see clients in person in Los Alamitos and via telehealth across California. I take private pay with sliding-scale fees, and Aetna, CalOptima, LA Care Health Plan, and Molina Healthcare of California insurance. I also accept Medi-Cal through these insurance plans.
