Meet Lauren

I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Sciences from Cal State San Marcos and went on to complete my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University. Throughout my training and professional experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, including those navigating anxiety, depression, infidelity, parenting challenges, life transitions, and the complexities of adolescence and young adulthood.

As a narrative therapist, I believe deeply in the power of story—how we make meaning of our experiences and how those stories shape our identities. Together, we can gently explore and re-author the narratives you carry, creating space for perspectives that feel more aligned with who you truly are and who you want to become.

I also integrate somatic techniques into my work, honoring the connection between mind and body. I believe healing isn’t just cognitive—it’s something we experience physically and emotionally. By incorporating grounding practices and body awareness, I help clients reconnect with themselves, the present moment, and a greater sense of stability and safety.

I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, children, teens, and those who have been impacted by trauma. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can feel safe, seen, and understood. My goal is to support you in building insight, resilience, and meaningful change, while empowering you to move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

I see clients in person in Los Alamitos and via telehealth across California. I take private pay with sliding-scale fees, and Aetna, CalOptima, LA Care Health Plan, and Molina Healthcare of California insurance. I also accept Medi-Cal and Medicare through these insurance plans. To see more information, see fees and insurance.
